Shloka of the day Saturday, 24 January 2026

One Sanskrit verse a day from the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Vedas, subhashitas and well-known stotras, with transliteration and meaning. 132 verses in rotation.

Bhagavad Gita 15.15

sarvasya cāhaṃ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtirjñānamapohanaṃ ca |

vedaiśca sarvairahameva vedyo vedāntakṛdvedavideva cāham ||

Meaning

I dwell in the hearts of all; from Me come memory, knowledge and their loss. I am what all the Vedas seek to know, the author of Vedanta and the knower of the Vedas.

The meaning is our own short paraphrase, not a word-for-word translation.
