Each purpose has its own classical rule set — pick one to see its rules and search dates.

How Muhurat search works

  1. Choose the purpose

Type what you are planning or pick a purpose. Each has its own required and preferred rules.

  2. Pick dates and time of day

Search up to six months at once, limited to mornings, evenings or particular weekdays if you like.

  3. Compare the windows

Every window lists its tithi, nakshatra, yoga and lagna, the rules it meets and any it misses.

For each day in your range the Hindu day (sunrise to next sunrise) is divided wherever the tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, Moon sign or a timed period (Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Dur Muhurat, Varjyam) changes. A time is shown only when every required rule of the purpose holds throughout it; preferred rules that are not met are listed as warnings.

Rule sets are based on classical selections as commonly cited by Panchangs. Every rule goes through the platform's Jyotish review, an automated (AI) review against the classical texts and published Panchangs. Where a rule set has not yet passed it, this is stated on its page.

These windows follow the rules listed on this page for the selected place and calculation profile. They are not the only correct Muhurat: traditions, regions and individual horoscopes can lead to different choices. For major ceremonies, consult a qualified priest or Jyotishi.

Traditions may vary by region and Panchang convention. Times are shown for the selected place, time zone and calculation profile.
