Calculated Moon-sign reading

Victory over opponents and good vitality; take care over worries about home and relatives

OverallD Udyog scoring model (v1.0)

This week (5 Oct – 11 Oct) the Moon moves from your 4th house to your 6th house; no day is fully favourable, and 5 Oct and 6 Oct call for care. Jupiter in your 4th house brings worries about home and relatives, while Saturn (retrograde) in your 12th house brings expenses and restless sleep. Sade Sati is in its first phase (Saturn in the 12th from your Moon sign): a time for simplifying and saving rather than for fear. On balance this week asks for patience; the calmer you move, the smoother it goes.

Written automatically from the calculated planetary positions of this period and the classical transit rules — the same inputs always give the same reading.

Areas of life

Ratings run from 1 (needs care) to 5 (very supportive), from the traditional transit results for each area of life.

ସାଧାରଣ

Overall, Jupiter in your 4th house calls for patience — traditionally, worries about home and relatives. Meanwhile, Saturn (retrograde) in your 12th house calls for patience — traditionally, expenses and restless sleep. Keep commitments modest, avoid confrontations and give important decisions a second look.

ଯାତ୍ରା

For travel, Saturn (retrograde) in your 12th house (expenses and distant places) asks for care with journeys — traditionally, expenses and restless sleep. Meanwhile, Mercury in your 7th house (partnership and marriage) asks for care with journeys — traditionally, arguments and misunderstandings. Allow buffers in travel plans and avoid unnecessary journeys.

Best days and days for care B

From the Moon's sign at local sunrise (Chandra bala). Care days are the Moon in the 4th, 8th (Chandrashtama) and 12th houses.

Best days

None in this period.

Days for care

06/10/2026 (ମଙ୍ଗଳ)କର୍କ · ଭାବ 4unease and a restless mind

Care days are the Moon in your 4th, 8th (Chandrashtama) or 12th house. The Moon in the 2nd, 5th or 9th is also outside the favourable houses, but Chandra-bala tradition (Muhurta Chintamani) accepts it in the bright fortnight, so those days are not marked either way.

Lucky colour, number and day C

Traditional, fixed for your sign

Colour: deep red
Number: 9
Day: Tuesday

Traditional, fixed for Mesha: these come from the sign's lord and are the same every day, week, month and year — they do not depend on the transits of this period.

Traditional associations of Mesha's lord, Mars: its colour (BPHS ch. 3) and its weekday; the number follows popular numerology.

Remedy (upasana)

For Saturn's Sade Sati over your Moon sign.

On Saturdays chant the mantra below or the Hanuman Chalisa, light a sesame-oil lamp and help elders, workers or anyone in need.

Mantra ॐ शनैश्चराय नमः (Om Śanaiścarāya Namaḥ)

Read: Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah

Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised

How this reading is made

A traditional Moon-sign (Chandra rashi) reading for everyone whose Moon is in Mesha, not a reading of your personal birth chart. Houses are counted from Mesha (house 1) using sidereal positions (lahiri_drik_compat ayanamsa) calculated for the selected place; times are in Asia/Kolkata. Transit results follow Phaladeepika ch. 26 with Vedha; ratings weigh each graha by its significations, the houses of each life area and how long it stays in the period. Best and care days use the Moon's sign at local sunrise.

Classical sources

Phaladeepika (Mantreswara) ch. 26, Gochara phala: results of the grahas transiting the houses counted from the natal Moon sign, with Vedha (obstruction)
Brihat Samhita (Varahamihira) ch. 104, Graha-gochara: the same favourable houses
Vedha pairs as tabulated from Phaladeepika ch. 26 in B. V. Raman, "Hindu Predictive Astrology"; no Vedha between the Sun and Saturn or the Moon and Mercury
Muhurta Chintamani, Chandra-bala: the Moon in houses 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 from the Moon sign is favourable; the 8th (Chandrashtama) is avoided for new undertakings
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 32 and Phaladeepika ch. 2: significations (karakatva) of the grahas; BPHS ch. 11–23: significations of the houses
Sade Sati (Saturn in the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon sign) and Dhaiya / Kantaka Shani (4th and 8th): widely followed later tradition
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 3: colours of the grahas; weekday by its lord (vara)
Lucky number: popular numerological (anka) convention, not a classical Jyotish rule
Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised
